Vendors: Is this event really FREE? Absolutely! We're all about working our businesses with little to no out of pocket expense. Your "fee" is comprised of your prize and your promotional efforts. To pass the savings on to vendors, our events are sponsored by Sassy Sisters In Sales. Do I have to give a prize? Yes. It is not only good business practice and a great way to get your name out there, but each of our vendors are people who contribute value to the events. Part of that value is giving our guests an exciting reason to attend. The more attendance we have, the greater our events are, which means greater success for you. We'd like to think we do not have to say this, but, your prize needs to be in good taste and of decent value in roughly the $15+ price range. It needs to be something YOU would get excited about. Giving your prize is considered part of your "fee" for your time slot. It can be a retired item from your line, a collection of items nicely packaged, exclusive items, etc. Prizes MUST be sent to the winner. If you're not planning to follow through with sending the prize, please do not register for this event. Remember, whatever you give as a prize could be a deciding factor in whether or not a guest will do business with you again. Make it count and operate on integrity. What should I do during my time slot? Time Slots are 30 minutes. We recommend: introduce yourself; a brief summary of your Company (if applicable); an explanation of your products (materials, use, guarantees); Specials; ordering instructions; other important details; game/drawing; open up for questions. If you have never participated in an online vendor event before, it may be a good idea to practice a bit to ensure you do not go over your time slot. We need to respect each other's time and business. If you need inspiration, it can be helpful to first participate as a guest to familiarize yourself with what works and what doesn't. We've found the most important thing in online events such as this is to keep your audience engaged. Guests cannot see you typing or searching for information. Have a basic outline prepared in a word document so you can simply copy & paste. Keep your presentation at a read-able pace for the guests and you'll do fantastic! A vendor went over there time. What should I do? Occasionally a vendor might go over their aloted time. We ask that you be understanding/flexable and trust that the vendor before you will end as quickly as they can. Also know that the mondorators are aware of schedule changes and are prepared to update the slots as necessary. How do I play a game? Because time slots are limited, we recommend avoiding lengthier games that involve guests browsing through sites for answers. As fun as these games can be, they typically take longer than 5-10 minutes to play. Keeping your game simple is best. TRIVIA: Many vendors have created trivia questions based on their presentation and the guest who answers first receives a point. At the end of a series of questions, the guest with the most points wins the prize. Mix it up a bit by offering the prize to the guest with the least points. WORD SCRAMBLE: Other vendors offer word scrambles of items in their line. The first guest to unscramble the letters receives a point. At the end of the game, the guest with the most (or least) points wins the prize. Word of warning with word scrambles: make sure your scrambled words can be unscrambled in a short amount of time. It's not about stumping your guests, but getting them to answer quickly. TV/MOVIE QUOTES: Some vendors post quotes from tv/movies and the first to respond with who said it, either real-life actor or charactor name, gets the point. At the end of the game the guest with the most (or least if you prefer) points wins the prize. These are just some ideas to inspire you. Have fun with this! The more engaging and fun you are during your time slot, the more memorable you and your business will be. Why must I advertise or publicize the event? While our event is in fact sponsored by Sassy Sisters In Sales, you know people that we do not. When each vendor extends invitations to their list of contacts, social media, blogs, etc combined with the efforts of our sponsors, we will have a far greater turn-out than if our sponsors solely promoted the event. Each of our vendors contributes value to the event and promotion is part of that value. Your promotional efforts are also considered part of your "fee" for your time slot. How do I login to the event as a Vendor? Visit http://momchats.com/wahmchatroom/ Enter your name, no password necessary. As a Vendor, it can be helpful to include your company or genre with your name. A Moderator will welcome you to the room and be available if you have any complications. The moderator will also share your link on your behalf as new guests arrive during your time slot. This makes it easier to share your presentation with limited interruption. Sit back and enjoy the Sassy Affair! Do I need a mic/webcam? Not at all. The event is held in a user-friendly chatroom. What if I don't get the results I expected? Events like these are never a guaranty. It could become more than you expected and it could become less than you expected. Results are highly dependent upon the number of guests invited and how engaging the vendors are. Because our events are free, there is (obviously) no refunds available. What if I can't make it for my time slot? Treat this event like your parties/shows/appointments - you would tell your Hostess, wouldn't you? Please have the courtesy to notify our Moderators asap so we can plan accordingly. What if I missed my slot without notification to the moderators that I'd be gone? We will consider your lack of attendance an indication that you are not interested in participating in our event, therefore if you wish to register for further events you will be asked to wait a month before registering for any other upcoming events. Repeat offenders will not be invited back. What if there's an emergency & I can't make it? We completely understand - life happens. Please notify our Moderators asap so we can plan accordingly. We would not want to mistake your emergency for a lack of interest in the event. Can I just show up for my time slot and leave when I'm done? This will not be tolerated. We understand that sometimes vendors need to step out for a bit to tend to children/family. We also understand that sometimes things come up. However, if every vendor came and left, how do you think that would look professionally? Let's support one another. We ask that you are present for - at the very least - one other vendor's time slot. It is tacky to show up for only your time slot. This tells our guests "I'm only here to hock my wares, buy from me, okay goodbye". Our vendors do not operate their businesses this way as they recognize it is not good business practice. How do I handle a spammer if one shows up? No worries. Our Moderators will handle that. Because the chatroom is public, from time to time a spammer may find his/her way in there. We monitor activity to ensure everyone's visit is pleasant. In regards to Guests/Vendors Privately Spamming - Please use your best judgment. Remember that guests and vendors alike are here to participate in the event. Please try to keep your private messages to a minimum. Please contact one of the moderators if you feel you are being spammed by a guest or vendor. Spamming will not be tolerated and our moderators are prepared to BAN violators. Are only members of Sassy Sisters In Sales allowed to be a vendor? Not by any means. The event is sponsored by Sassy Sisters In Sales and you will find members of the sistah-hood participating in our events, however ALL entrepreneurs are welcome. In fact we encourage it! Our vendors work hard to share valuable information so if something said catches your eye be sure to share a complement. Each vendor will have a brief question & answer time toward the end of their time slots, so please refrain from too many questions until then. We ask that in order to keep distractions to a minimum, you respect the vendors' time slots by not engaging too deeply in conversation with fellow guests. Our vendors love to hear you're there and watching so occasional comments are always welcome! How do I purchase from the vendors? During their time slots, each vendor will share specific instructions for ordering/purchasing from them. Because some companies have regulations for online ordering, or some vendors may be offering something above and beyond the company special, no two vendors' ordering procedure will be the same. Are there required purchases for guests? Not at all. Enjoy shopping at your leisure! Our vendors share incredible offers, many of which are not available anywhere else, so be sure to take advantage of the specials. I own a business too, can I promote my links & info during the event? No. This is strictly prohibited. Any sharing of links or info during the event without being a registered vendor will be considered spam and you will be asked to leave. If you do not comply you will be removed and restricted from registering for other Sassy Affair events. Spamming will not be tolerated and our moderators are prepared to BAN violators.I own a business too and would like to participate in the next event, can I? Most definitely! We would love to have you! Visit our Upcoming Events page to determine which event has openings and will work best for you. Then visit the Event Schedule page to determine which time slots are available for that event. Write down your top 3 choices. Then Register for either our Saturday event or Thursday event. You will receive a confirmation message. If you do not see a confirmation message, please email our Moderators to verify receipt of your registration information. I won a prize at the event, how do I redeem it? If you won a prize during a vendor's time slot, the vendor should have given you instructions to redeem the prize. If not, please email our Moderators so we can put you in touch with the proper vendor. Because some items are handcrafted, on backorder, or part of a larger order, sometimes shipping of a prize can take up to 3 weeks (sometimes even more). The vendor should keep you informed of any delays. If you followed the vendor's instructions and have yet to receive your prize after that length of time, please notify our Moderators via email. If you won the GRAND Guest Prize at the close of our event, please email your address and prize information to our Moderators with the Subject Line: GRAND Guest Prize (Event Date). We will send your prize asap. |
